Things to look out for when buying men's wristwatch;
The strap
This can be metal, leather or even plastic. This is a personal choice so choose the one that works best for you.
Occasion
Will you wear the wristwatch to work, hunt or out in town? A big bulky wristwatch designed for hunting should not be worn on a suit.
Size
Make sure you get a proper size face suitable for your size; a regular face watch on a huge man could end up looking like a ladies watch.
The crystal
Take a look at the crystal; the clear covering over the face. There are three possible materials it could be made of;
a. Plexiglas is the cheapest and scratches easily but it is difficult to shatter.
b. Mineral crystal is more expensive than plexiglas and also more likely to shatter.
c. Synthetic sapphire is the most expensive, it is scratch-proof but very easy to shatter.
Water proof, water resistant?
Water resistant is not the same as water proof. It only means that the watch will be ok if it gets splashed. When it comes to water proof, men's watches are rated by depth.
